Terms & Conditions
Once a tutoring position has been confirmed, you are entering into a contract between you and the tutor, as well as a separate contract with Chelsea & Fulham Tutors. Chelsea & Fulham Tutors acts as an agent on behalf of the tutor and will set up an introduction between the tutor and client.
Invoices and Payment
The billing process will be under the control of Chelsea & Fulham Tutors, We will send you a weekly invoice or as required. The hourly fee quoted includes Chelsea & Fulham Tutors’ commission. The invoice will be calculated according to the information provided by your tutor (you will not be required to sign this, however it is advisable that you keep a note of your tutor’s hours to avoid any error or confusion.) The tutor will not receive his or her fee until we have received payment from you.
We request that invoices are paid promptly on presentation. We may charge interest on overdue balances at a rate of 2% above libor. We prefer payment by direct bank transfer but you may also pay by cheque.
The tutor reserves his or her right to withdraw tuition if a client is late with payment.
The fees will be calculated at a rate agreed in advance between Chelsea & Fulham Tutors and the client, based upon the seniority of the tutor. Payments must not be made directly to the tutor at any time unless previously agreed by Chelsea & Fulham Tutors.
The parent is not permitted to make private arrangements for tuition with a tutor introduced by Chelsea & Fulham Tutors. Should a parent contravene this obligation, they will be liable to account to Chelsea & Fulham Tutors for all sums paid to the tutor. This commitment shall continue notwithstanding termination of this agreement.
Should you wish to recommend one of the tutors of Chelsea & Fulham Tutors to any other Potential or Actual Client, that Client must contact Chelsea & Fulham Tutors to make a booking through the agency.
Tutorials that are cancelled by the client with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged for in full. Please note that where a tutor is booked for a number of hours, we expect that the contract will be honoured by the client.
For residential placements, please ensure that you and your tutor are agreed on the arrangements for each position. Residential placements that are cancelled by the client with less than 14 days’ notice are charged for in full. Please note that where a tutor is booked for a number of days, we expect that the contract will be honoured by the client.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the performance of a tutor. Chelsea & Fulham Tutors supplies each tutor in good faith and in the belief that he or she will perform to the best of his or her abilities. However, we cannot guarantee and are not liable for the performance of the tutor. If a client has a complaint against the tutor or Chelsea & Fulham Tutors, we regard it as a point of contract that we are informed within 24 hours of the occurrence that gave rise to the objection.
Chelsea & Fulham Tutors do not accept any liability for any claims by the client arising out of or related to the carrying out of the tutoring by a tutor introduced by Chelsea & Fulham Tutors.
